We raised the roof on the sunroom and added a master bed room and bath. The first picture is the “before” shot. We also moved some interior walls, refinished the floors, and added an overhang to an exterior door. The bathroom floor is marble, and the shower has a steam unit. Jim Irby, architect, drew the plans. As you can, the framing, siding and roofing crews were up in the air!!
Tuscany Inspired Rebuild – The Finished Product
Here are some pictures of the finished product. The brick ceiling is my favorite, and the arched dormers, and the beams, and well, you can see for yourself. The warmth is inviting and relaxing, a wonderful home for entertaining and just the family.
Tuscany Inspired Rebuild
My client hired Jim Irby to be the architect for the rebuild. She knew the look she wanted was Tuscany inspired, so you can see in the following pictures the arches and overhangs that create that feel.
Notice the dormer windows, even the framing and roof are a radius. I have also included some pictures of the interior work, including the stone fireplace. Notice the openings on both sides of the fireplace for built in cabinets.
The white rails that are fastened to the framing are for a brick ceiling, on a radius, in the kitchen.
All the windows and doors were custom made by Marvin. Next time I will show the finished product.
Rear Foyer with Storage
This is an addition in the West End of Richmond near the University of Richmond. My clients wanted a rear foyer with storage for their belongings like back packs, coats, hats, etc..

All of the exterior material is the best low maintence material on the market, including Azek decking and pvc trim.
The cabinets were custom built to maximize space and each family member has his/her own “locker”.

Garage Makeover
This is a really good example of what a cosmetic change can do for a detached garage.

Replacing an old garage door, adding an attractive copper roof over the door, and bringing the overall exterior finishes up to today’s low maintience free materials make it rewarding for curb appeal and overall client happiness.

All the trim is pvc or Boral, both the best low maintience products on the market today. The siding is Hardiplank, a great concrete siding material that I have on my own home. The change is dramatic, and I would like to thank Jim Irby, the architect, for his design and drawings.
